Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • If you have any problems in submitting your paper via the journal system, you can submit the paper via email to:  asianscholarnetwork@gmail.com 
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • ​Manuscripts should not be less than 2,000 words and not more than 8,000 words. Each manuscript must have an abstract (between 150-250 words) and 5 keywords.

  • Papers in Malay and Arabic must have an abstract and title in English.

  • Manuscript must be in word.docx typed 1.5 spacing. Submission template can be downloaded here.

  •  Formatting of references follows APA 6th edition.   

  • To facilitate the blind review process, please ensure that the authors’ names do not appear anywhere in the manuscript or in the filename. Authors’ names, designations and institutional addresses should be in a separate file.

  • Papers submitted to Trends in Social Science (TSS) must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere, either in electronic or printed form. The corresponding author should declare this when submitting the paper to the Editor-in-Chief.

  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to make editorial changes to any manuscript accepted for publication to enhance clarity and style.

  • Manuscripts that do not adhere to any of the submission guideline may not be considered for review.

 

In general, the content of the manuscript should include: 

  •  Title (short, precise, and descriptive)

  • Author(s)’ name(s) – Supplied in a separate file for blind  review process

  • Full address of the affiliation of each author - Supplied in a separate file for blind review process

  • Telephone number, fax, and e-mail addresses of each author -         Supplied in a separate file for blind review process

  • Abstract (150 - 250 words)

  • Keywords (5 words )

  • Introduction

  • Text Body

  • Methodology (optional for conceptual papers)

  • Results and Discussion (optional for conceptual papers)

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgement
